REPORT FROM ELAINE DOWN - NHC DIRECTOR OF REFEREEING

FOLLOWING THE EUROPEAN MASTERS TOURNAMENT

 

Shown in the photograph above are the NHC Officials who assisted at the European Masters Tournament at The Triangle, Burgess Hill on the weekend of the 5th and 6th November.

 

The NHC Director of Refereeing would like to extend her personal thanks to the NHC Officials who gave not only their time beyond what would normally be expected, but throughout the entire weekend gave their usual professional 'service' to the EJU and the BJA to ensure the event ran as smoothly as possible given the limits they had to work within.

 

On Saturday the 5th November, the event commenced at 8.30am and did not finish until 11.45pm and with only five referees per mat and a limited number of Table Officials and support staff, it was unbelievably hard work.   The Sunday too was also busy commencing at 8.30am and finishing at 3.00pm. 

 

I believe the NHC Officials did an excellent job for the BJA and the NHC Committee would like to add it's thanks to those officials involved for their hard work and dedication.
